Concerts at CCRMA feature new and recent computer music by graduate students, faculty, and guests. Classic works and recent music from other studios and composers are also occasionally programmed. Colloquia and concerts are announced via a mailing list.

    Please join us on the CCRMA stage for  a rare appearance with Bay Area master Tom Duff who will install and perform/operate Wire Machine, which takes Alvin Lucier's seminal composition/installation Music on a Long Thin Wire and runs with it.

    CCRMA celebrates the start of the 2014 season with our annual Transitions Concerts, 2 evenings of outdoor, under-the-stars electronic music showcasing works from the CCRMA community and beyond.
     
    Featuring an immersive multichannel speaker array, Transitions 2014 will take place in CCRMA's outdoor courtyard at 8:00 PM, October 1st and 7.30 PM, October 2nd, 2014. Admission is FREE and open to the general public.

  • Östersjö, Frisk and friends

    CCRMA welcomes back guitarist Stefan Östersjö and saxophonist Henrik Frisk to present a concert of works for instruments and electronics. Based in Sweden, Östersjö and Frisk will feature solo works as well as performing as a duo, and will also be joined by an ensemble of CCRMA performers for the second half of their program.

  • Elision Ensemble

    Elision Ensemble is Australia's premier new music ensemble. They are known throughout the world for their virtuosic live performances and recordings. So please join us for the first of two concerts on Saturday 24th at 7.30pm on the CCRMA stage. The program will include multi-media and live electronic works by Stanford Graduate Composers and pieces from Elision's concet repetoire.

    The second concert takes place at The Bing Concert Hall on Wednesday 28th May at 7.30pm with more new Stanford multimeda works and Elision favorites.

  • the future of terror: Liz Pearse, soprano, & Elise Roy, flute

     Soprano Liz Pearse & flutist Elise Roy visit CCRMA to premiere Stanford-composer Kurt Isaacson's song cycle the future of terror, an extensive work that sets the poetry of Matthea Harvey.

    Also featured on this program, Elise Roy will perform Mark Applebaum's Entre Funérailles IV.
