CCRMA Industrial Affiliates Program

Program Description

CCRMA is an interdisciplinary research center within the Department of Music at Stanford University. CCRMA has a long history of innovation and collaboration with the music technology industry. The purpose of the CCRMA Industrial Affiliates Program is to support general research in computer music and acoustics and to foster dialog on the cutting edge.

Cost of Participation

There is a $10,000.00 annual membership fee to become an industrial affiliate of CCRMA.

Benefits of Participation

  1.  Annual CCRMA Affiliates Forum

CCRMA organizes and hosts an annual meeting of the minds where Affiliate and CCRMA representatives engage in discussion about issues facing the field. Includes lightning talks from Affiliates' and CCRMA researchers about problems they want to see solved.
  2. Semi-annual Individual Discussions

Twice each year, an appropriate representative of the CCRMA IAP will touch base with each Affiliate Member's contact person. CCRMA will summarize activities thought to be of interest to the Affiliate and the Affiliate will bring to CCRMA's attention any publicly available information it may desire. The conversation can lead to further interaction.
  3. Career Liaison

A point of contact for companies interested in hiring CCRMA alumni and students. CCRMA's representative will interact with Affiliates to match hiring needs with CCRMA graduates (as well as advising on Stanford policy regarding employing current students). This person can provide resumes and career objectives of industry-leaning CCRMA graduates and circulate hiring news to them about upcoming jobs, internships, and other opportunities at Affiliate companies.
