Harmonicity and Inharmonicity in Instruments of the Percussion/Resonance Family in Interaction with Electronics
This lecture intends to talk about some results of a Thematic Project, congregating two of the most important musical institutions in Brazil, both at the Institute of the Arts at the State University of São Paulo (Unesp) – the Studio PANaroma of Electroacoustic Music and the PIAP percussion ensemble –, and supported by Fapesp, which focuses on the spectral analysis of the most important instruments belonging to the percussion/resonance category under the prism of harmonicity and inharmonicity and the interactivity between electronics and these instruments; the conception of new pieces is part of the results of the researches, and some extracts of my operas Ritos de Perpassagem and Oposicantos will be approached.
