Date:
Fri, 09/28/2012 - 8:00pm - 9:30pm
Location:
CCRMA (The Knoll) Courtyard
Event Type:
Concert
CCRMA celebrates the start of the 2012 season with Transitions, two evenings of outdoor, under-the-stars concerts showcasing music from the CCRMA community.

Friday's program will explore live interactive performances and the diverse ecology of musical performance systems that dwell at CCRMA, as well as a networked collaboration/broadcast with Mexico's Radio UNAM. Live electronic music will be Friday night's focus, with a range of new works featuring mixed instrumental and electronic performance, group improvisations, and new musical interfaces.

This year's program includes:

Fragment String for piano and live electronics (Spencer Salazar, ft. Roberto Morales-Manzanares, piano)

break me, California for multi-channel tape (Kurt Werner)

Realignments for live electronics (Amar Chaudray)
Tiki Taka for multi-channel tape and live diffusion (Mayank Sanganeria)

laimprovisación (The CCRMA Ensemble ft. Roberto Morales-Manzanares)
It's OK for Micro-Willsynth (Michael Wilson)

Shimmering Horizons for two guitars and iPad processing (Werner + Sanganeria)
The World for multi-channel tape (Cecilia Wu)
