Karlheinz talked about this at a CCRMA Hearing Seminar on October 20, 2023. But their demo didn't work for technical reasons. They are repeating it for us (and others) at the DoubleTree near SFO. I'll be heading up in the afternoon, if anybody needs a ride from campus.
From Karlheinz: It gives me great pleasure to invite you in a small circle to our first private technology demonstration in San Francisco.
The presentation of our world-leading audio technology for headphones will take place on Friday, 08/16/2024, from noon till 6 pm in room Marina at the Double Tree by Hilton San Francisco South Airport Blvd hotel, located 275 South Airport Blvd, South San Francisco, California 94080.
Among other things, you will be able to experience how truly lifelike surround sound can be created when using headphones, what “virtual loudspeakers” sound like and whether they can be distinguished from real loudspeakers.
