Returning to our two delay line implementation of the digital waveguide, we show how to excite our virtual string model with a clear mapping to the physical world. Figure 17 shows a digital waveguide where for each delay line, we have tapped into the $ Xth$ sample. Here we input at each time-slice our excitation signal $ e(n)$ .
