AIR-INTAKE MOD. & K&N FILTER

Admittedly, I'm not the best mechanic in the world.  But what I'm quite good at is taking things apart, cutting, dismantling, severing, and in any other way putting the kibosh on precious stuff.  (Well, that's at least what my dad always used to say.)

Initially I was looking into getting a Jackson Racing Cold Air Intake, but its price-tag didn't really correspond with the benefits.  So I instead hacked my own airbox into pieces.  Well actually, it's not quite possible to see that the air-box is now missing the bottom and side-walls — the only visible indication of someone gone awry with a hacksaw is its shortened inlet duct.

I also dropped in a K&N air-filter for even more free-breathing.  I know those are a bit expensive compared to what you get, but since I've always been happy with the same size K&N for my moto-bike, why not?

Anyways, if you want some extra whomp for free, I heartily recommend this intake mod — especially if you also want your puppy to sound like a Rottweiler.
