Assignment Description

This homework assignment was a brainstorming and drawing exercise to get us to think about the various ways we interact with the objects around us. We were asked to consider the difference between discrete input (buttons), and continuous input (handles). The goal was to have us think about how we use everyday objects in order to start a dialog about what it means to be expressive with a device, what the results of our input can be, and what interface designs already exist all around us. We were asked to draw five buttons and five handles.

As I was drawing out these sketches, I also found myself giving strong consideration ideas like consequences, intent, and context. I got kind of into it as I realized it's been a long time since I've done any real drawing.
