Replacing $ h_l(t)$ by $ h_s(t)\mathrel{\stackrel{\mathrm{\Delta}}{=}}$sinc$ \left(\frac{t}{T}\right)$ converts linear interpolation to ideal bandlimited interpolation (see ``sinc interpolation'' below)
