Brief Description
For my radio play I took an excerpt from book one of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. There is a wonderful audio description of the desctruction of the Earth by the Vogon constructor fleet. Specifically, for the Vogons' radio address to the people of earth, they activate and speak through "every hi fi set in the world, every radio, every television, every cassette recorder, every woofer, every tweeter, every mid-range driver". Additionally, "every tin can, every dust bin, every window, every car, every wine glass, every sheet of rusty metal became activated as an acoustically perfect sounding board." It is unlikely that I've done this description justice in my assignment, but it was certainly an interesting challenge to think about the sound this would create.
