In Windows 2000, all you have to do is attach a postscript printer driver
to the ``file'' port:
- Start Button / Settings / Control Panel / Printers
- Add
Printer (double click)
The next screen should be a small box
called ``Add Printer Wizard'' and should show 2 radio buttons: Local Printer
and Network Printer.
Select ``Local Printer'' and the Next button.
- From the Available Ports list, scroll to the bottom to select
``FILE:Print to file'' port and click Next. After some delay, a list of known
manufacturers and printers appears.
- From the Manufacturers list, select Apple; from the printer list select
``Apple LaserWriter v23.0'' and click Next.
- You can set it as the default printer if you want, but you probably
don't since this ``printer'' is only for creating PostScript files.
- Choose ``Not Shared'' from the next window and click next.
- Try the test page. You can check it in ghostview. It contains
a wealth of information such as the systems files involved.
