If your write your articles using LaTeX, it makes sense to make your slides with Beamer. This way is possible to create high quality PDF slides, reusing all the beautiful equations (and TikZ pictures?) you created for your article.

The only downside is that all themes look very similar and not really pretty in my opinion. It is super easy to look at a deck of slides and realize immediately it was created with Beamer. There's nothing wrong with that, but I value originality and aesthetics, so I decided to create a simple, minimal and customizable Beamer theme. It uses CCRMA/Stanford colors, but feel free to modify it for other uses. Get it here. This is a sample deck.

There's also the possibility of using a dark theme, if that's your cup of tea.

In addition to slides, I also created a poster template. Feel free to use/modify at will.
