François Germain



I am a 7th-year doctoral student at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) in the Department of Music at Stanford University (Stanford, USA) under the supervision of Pr. Julius O. Smith III. My research focuses on a variety of topics related to the fields of music technology and audio processing.

I received an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2014, an M.A. in Music Technology from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in 2011 and a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) in 2010.

I have previously worked as visiting researcher at Linköping University (Norrköping, Sweden), working with Pr. Gianpaolo Evangelista in the Sound and Technology Group. I have also worked as intern in the Creative Technology Labs at Adobe Research, under the supervision of Dr. Gautham Mysore, at Dolby Laboratories, under the supervision of Alan Seefeldt, and in the Intel Laboratories at Intel Corporation, under the supervision of Pr. Vladlen Koltun.
