This is a list of the electronic suppliers that we use most frequently in the Max Lab. It is by no means exhaustive but it can provide some good places to start looking.

A large number of the parts we stock in the lab come from Adafruit. The tutorials that come with their products are excellent.

Sparkfun
Sparkfun.com
A large number of the parts we stock in the lab come from Sparkfun. They are excellent at providing example code, data sheets and tutorials.

Jameco

The best thing about these guys is that they are local and if you order from them, you can usually pick up your order at will call within 3 hours.

Huge electronic supplier. This is where we purchase the microphone capsule that we use in our microphone tutorials, part number 668-1391-ND.

Mouser
Mouser.com
Huge electronic supplier. This is where we purchase the piezo discs that we use for the hydrophone projects. We use part number 665-AB2720B. But there are many varieties that also work well.

Parts Express

Great resource for speaker components and digital amplifiers. We use the Dayton DTA-1 for lots of projects.
