- Summary
- The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) provides audio and MIDI functionality to the Linux operating system. ALSA has the following significant features: Efficient support for all types of audio interfaces, from consumer soundcards to professional multichannel audio interfaces, fully modularized sound drivers, SMP and thread-safe design, user space library (alsa-lib) to simplify application programming and provide higher level functionality as well as support for the older OSS API, providing binary compatibility for most OSS programs. This package contains the kernel modules for package kernel-smp version 2.6.16-1.2080.11.rrt.rhfc5.ccrmasmp, compiled for the i686 architecture.

- build snd-rtctimer and make it default (it is the default in newer fedora core kernels, if this is not done the kernel module will try to be loaded and things will not work correctly after that) - fixed detection of rtctimer support in kernel (patch8) - do not use --with-card-options=seq-rtctimer-default, the module or something associated with it is hanging the 2.6.15.6 kernel - update to 1.0.11rc3 (to see if rtctimer works better...)
