220B Drum Machine

My drum machine is currenly working, in a technical sense – but it lacks ease of use in its current form. It took me a minute to sort out the trackpad input, and the keyboard input is still not working. But this is at least a starting point. My ultimate goal is to create a loop of the "Purdie shuffle," a pattern created/popularized by session drummer Bernard Purdie. I want to be able to trigger each drum part (snare, kick, hi-hat, etc), allowing the user to isolate each part at will. For the soundscape I hope to use the trackpad to trigger samples of songs that use the Purdie shuffle beat.

FINAL DRUM MACHINE: PURDIE SHUFFLE

My final drum machine was inspired by the Purdie Shuffle, a drum pattern popularized by session drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie. With the machine, you can play the purdie shiffle by toggling the snare (key s), hi-hat (key h) and kick drum (key k). Keys 1-7 will trigger samples of Purdie's voice and clips from songs that use the Purdie Shuffle.
