Description:
You’ve been committing sound crimes…and the investigator is hot on your trail. Quickly, you
must shred the audio evidence that would link you to this investigation. The detective is
coming back to look for specific sound clues, and the clock is ticking! Rummage through the
drawers while listening carefully! If you can remember the location of each sound then you can
return to it faster, which is important, because the investigator comes back quicker and quicker
each time…!
Instructions:
Use ‘F’ ‘G’ ‘H’ & ‘J’ to open and close the dierent drawers. ‘W’ & ’S’ sifts forwards and
backwards through the folders within an open drawer. Press the audio icon on the folder to
listen to its contents. ‘D’ loads the sound file into the shredder. Twist the blue knob to set the
granulation playback speed, twist the green knob to set the number of shreds (grains) and click
the red button when you are ready to SHRED! Click and drag the sound shreds to rearrange
them on the clipboard. To listen, press the audio icon with your mouse (shreds play if they are
on the clipboard from left to right). Good luck! !

Development Processes:
Idea 2: Sound Shredder would have a
3D paper shredder image but when
users hit “shred” it will granulate an
audio file. The plot would be that the
IRS is after you and you would have
to destroy the sonic evidence! It
could be cool to have users have to
assemble a new sound with the
granulated pieces to fool the IRS
agent. So take grains of a vocal
sample and turn it into a kick drum.
Maybe it would be good to first just
have the player shue the evidence
and make sure if they don’t get
caught. !
Idea 1: Dance-y Drew would have the player be a in a Nancy Drew audio mystery where they
must find sonic clues and put together the “who done it” mystery. Like the game “Clue” it
could be fun to have users get three guesses of “Who” did it “Where” and with “What”
weapon.!
Idea 3: Immersive Alien Story! Not totally sure what the mechanics of this interaction would be
but was thinking through the potential plot points
