SoundWIRE

• Gives us fast, qualitative auditory feedback on the latency and jitter of internet connections

• Works by driving a synthesis algorithm using the data gathered by pinging hosts

• The first flavour simply uses the ping time for a given host and sets the length of a synthesized string based on that time

• The second flavour sends the audio samples over the network and truly uses the network as a delay line. Also simulates the actual load an audio stream would generate
