Christmas Fish

I was inspired by the flocking simulation at the San Francisco Exploritorium. I appreciated how fun it was to watch the birds move together. And yet, the presentation was so simple. At the same time, I wanted to have Christmas carols as it was created during the holiday season.

This project is meant to be a toy. It plays one of five Christmas carols while fish circle aBoids will follow your cursor across the screen. If you highlight them, they will become larger and the music will become larger. Even if you are touching no fish, the music will still softly in the background.

If you click the screen, the fish will scatter. The music will suddenly change into a sequence of random notes.

I like my project because of it's simple design. I played with different colors for the fish in response to the music, but I wanted to focus the music and the flocking. I could add more songs, and I might do that in the future.
