NGK COOL-RUNNING SPARK PLUGS

When asked what spark plugs do, most people will get it only half right.  Sure, a spark plug delivers a spark to ignite the air/fuel mix in the cylinder.  But that is only half of what it does.

The spark plug also removes heat from the combustion chamber.  It does this by absorbing heat from the combustion chamber into the body of the spark plug, and passing this heat through its (threaded) sides to the engine block.

Well, the above is actually a quote from a very good article by Rob Spargo.  After reading this piece, I decided to get some cooler running spark-plugs.  After I advanced the timing, those cooler NGK BKR7E-11 helped to get rid of the occasional pinging I had during the summer heat.
