SOUND SYSTEM
My sound system comprises 10 speakers, built around a pair of built-in head-rest speakers, and a Kenwood Radio/CD player.
Although I got no gangsta' subwoofer in the trunk, there are two vibrating "plate-speakers" (so-called MSSS system) mounted inside each seat's back-rest. In lieu of subwoofers, the MSSS does a surprisingly good job. I recently heard that those are still available as an after-market package, priced at a whopping $960.
One other nice thing with those head-rest speakers is that they work
almost like headphones — you can listen to the loudest
death-metal (or Xenakis
for that matter) without disrupting the beauty-sleep of the neighbors.
