Particle Fever   —   Georgi Gia Dvali
Gia is a professor of physics and a member of the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics at New York University.  He received his Ph.D. in high energy physics and cosmology from Tbilisi State University, Georgia in 1992.  He held research positions at two renowned international research centers: at CERN and at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy.
Gia is one of the most creative members of this community.  His ideas are and often contain extreme implications for the nature of gravity, cosmology and fundamental particles.  Gia has won many awards, from being elected a fellow of the Packard Foundation, to receiving a key to New York City for Excellence in Science and Technology.
