I (very quickly) wrote a simple drawbar organ for Wilsynth. It was simple to do and worked just like I expected. It sounds ok; it needs a bit of tweaking and a leslie simulation to really get going but the basics are pretty straightforward additive synthesis. Getting the sound right is only one part. Playability is very important. My keyboard has eight sliders, but a Hammond B3 has nine drawbars per setting. I'm starting to think about adding different modes to Wilsynth. Maybe I can build or purchase a drawbar controller and pass a parameter to set things up for that. I really like separating the interface from the synthesis engine. It gives me a lot of flexibility.
