Yesterday was the mid-term concert for SLOrk. I worked with fellow MSTs Hunter and Jiffer on a piece that used our acoustic instruments (I was on flute, Hunter on violin and Jiffer on banjo) as inputs to a system which used graphical display and also played back various things based on our inputs. It's a bit difficult to explain, but hopefully there will be some video up which I will link to soon. It came together satisfactorily in the end but there was still a lot of territory we didn't explore in the piece. There is a bit more time to work on the final project, but it will also involve the entire ensemble so it will probably require more work. I'm not sure what I'll work on for that yet but it should be interesting.
