I was a MA/MST student at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Accoustics.

This is my weblog.

CCRMA's modulations concert is tonight. Should be a good time.

Ravi and I demoed Balloon Cloud, our 256b final project, at Stanford's
iOS app fair. We got some good feedback from people. One interesting
aspect is that after demoing the application (which lets you hear what
it's like in different rooms / spaces with measurements that you take
with a balloon and an iPhone) many people said "What's the
application of all of this?" I guess not everyone is inspired by the
same things. We're planning on refining it a bit more and hopefully
releasing it.

It seems like as time goes on I'm accumulating more projects and not
really getting rid of anything. First term was nice because I could
really start with a clean slate and dive into whatever interested me.
Now that I've built up some foundation I'm able to do more extensive
work, but it takes longer and lead times are longer. I have to plan
further in advance to make sure that everything is progressing and I
have to be careful about prioritizing my time.
