Rinde Eckert gave a talk and performance at CCRMA today. I enjoyed both very much. He is an excellent performer in many mediums, able to put different styles of performance together in ways that I've never seen before. I was moved by his earnestness and sheer emotive capacity. I think that one of the best things about being here is the chance to attend events like this, and that they are now directly relevant to my course of study. It's a fantastic perk.
