12:00-1:00 pm, CSW Affiliates Luncheon
At the 1994 Tallahassee conference, CSW launched a new program called the Affiliates Luncheon. This will continue as an annual event where anyone wanting to confer with CSW members and others concerned with CSW matters can meet for an informal lunch where wide-ranging discussion can take place.

8:00-11:00 pm, Joint AMS/SMT Special Session:
Women and Scholarly Careers in Music

SMT's Commitee on the Status of Women will join forces with its counterpart in AMS. The joint program will focused on women and career issues; we will have a guest panel of representatives from the areas of administration and publication, as well as women to address issues of litigation and sexual bias. Panelists included: Suzanne Cusick (University of Virginia); Ellen Harris (Assoc. Provost for Arts, MIT); Joel Lester (CUNY Graduate School; Editor, Music Theory Spectrum); Kay Schelemay (Chair, Music Dept., Harvard University).
