What I wanted to avoid in this project is tiny sounds. I wanted something big and punchy. So I went for dubstep; big snare, big kick, and snappy hats. It's very fun to mess with the complexity of each track. In dubstep, the snare and kick are usually layered and not just consisting of one audio sample. This makes it entertaining to mess with the rates and get different sounds of them.

I'm fan of dubstep but also i fan of lofi music. so why not combine both? I first added the bass and wanted to give the performer the freedom to play live with the music and not just mess with the parameters of a sound. So if you mess with the gain of the bass you're actually turning it on and off on tempo. You get to mess with the rythym and because of the counter feature, you're always on tempo.

For the lofi part, I added a lofi filtered piano loop. Mixing soft lofi that usually requires soft but punchy beat elements with the heavy dubstep beat sounds is very interesting. The fact that I can alter the rate of the lofi piano and the kick, could change the genre from time to time. I can also remove the heavy snare completely and add the hihat gradually into the mix.
