Citations by Topic

The abbreviated citations below are organized by topic, while the full citations in the bibliography at the end are in alphabetical order.

The older references tend to be ``recent classics.'' I generally decided not to cite references earlier than 1960, even though there are quite a few classic papers going back several more decades.

The research papers cited are from my own personal bibliography database, and in most cases they do not represent the most current work in the area. Consider them as a starting point for further research.
