F17 Printing Headbutts

However, I later learned that printing stopped working. I ended up unplugging the USB cable to my HP LaserJet 1220, deleting the printer from the system, rebooting, replugging, and reinstalling. This triggered a lot of printing-related packages to be installed that were evidently missed by the upgrade. On installation, I chose the most generic discovered local printer name (it appeared in three different forms), and the driver named ``HP LaserJet 1220 Postscript (recommended)''. (It's hard to avoid the word ``recommended'' in the title). Unfortunately, none of this worked, and so I'm now plugging the printer directly into my MacBook Pro when I need to print (where it works fine).
