I created a piece exploring the sounds from two sources and four speakers. I explored FM synthesis as a means to vary the timbre, changing the gain of the modulator.

Functions are sporked throughout the piece to evolve the noise. For instance, I have several functions labeled “swell##” which change the gain for one of the two voices and one of the four speakers. These allow me to pan a sound to any of the four speakers in any amount. Other functions are used to change the modulation amount, sweep through low pass filter cutoff frequencies and play a sequence of notes passed to it. Each voice has it's own rhythmic blurb which repeat throughout with different notes. Envelopes are used and varied to get different attack and decay rates.
