SOUNDCUTIE / FFT Visualizer

Soundcutie is an audio visualizer that uses real-time animated display/playback to visualize a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) spectrum over time. These visualizations are matched with bright, tongue-in-cheek visual elements.

When designing Soundcutie, I was inspired by the sndpk waterfall plot and I wanted to make a visualizer with similar elements. As I developed this program, I decided to use an assymetrical plot that moves towards the viewer over time. It also approximates average amplitude, which is visualized by the sparkles that surround the FFT waterfall plot.
