In teams, create a new, electronic, sound/noise/music-producing object out of found objects, recycled materials, or raw materials. The final object may be semi-autonomous, or it may require user-input. Your total budget for the object is $20. Garage sales, goodwill, hardware stores, and dumpsters (be careful!) are excellent places to find materials. The object must be electronically operated -- either by computer (ala HCI using voltage-digital interfaces and Max or sim.) or by analog electronics (potentiometers, switches, etc.).
In order to create a conceptually or aesthetically coherent object, it is recommended that some sort of a theme is chosen from the outset.
Working as an individual, create a sounding piece out of your object. This piece may be open or fixed in duration.
