eyePhone:

"Object-oriented", Rapid Prototyping of YOUR FACE!

This chronicles our recent artistic investigations in literal facial feature extraction and replacement via mobile technologies (uh, iPhone cameras and displays), being conducted at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). The principal investigators include Brett Ascarelli, Ge Wang, David K., Perry R. Cook, with Chris Warren and Lawrence Fyfe. See the full gallery on flickr.

Our first major work. Taken with three phones: one to display the eyes (Ge), one to shoot (David), and a third to provide the right lighting (Lawrence). Brett supplies the rest of the aggregate entity. This piece, titled Brett-Ge-Lisa, projects an expression that is not only enigmatic, but somehow collaborative. See high-res image.
