Programming
The programming for the laser beam detection itself is not very hard and
has been done already using push buttons instead of laser beam/detector
pairs.
The distance sensing/expression pedal/velocity sensing is not that
straightforward and might require additional processing on the stamp,
before MIDI is sent out to a synthesizer (i.e. it might be interesting to
try various beam detector configurations and various velocity curves).
