Part 3: Drops

There's so many good drops, but I chose two from a dance playlist I have, since I was curious to listen closer to how artists prepare for a dance groove.

The first is Tyler, The Creator - SEE YOU AGAIN featuring Kali Uchis. I love Tyler's grungy production and stark transitions, especially in this song, which occur multiple times. Something he does to prepare for these changes is have tracks fading out, adding more atmosphere and reverb, as if one is approaching an edge.

The second example I have is a groovy track by Nese Karabocek - YALI YALI (Todd Terje Edit). This one uses a dramatic pause to prepare for the drop, followed by the entrance of the rhythm and bass.
