Final Project - Milestone 1

Milestone 1 Video: In My Mind

Idea 1: Dress to Impress - 256A edition

I'm obsessed with the Roblox game Dress to Impress, and I thought it would be so funny to make a 256A themed game. I thought maybe the user could pick out outfits for their character and each piece of clothing would make a sound during the fashion show. This might be super difficult to get the movement down though.

Idea 2: Space Explorer

There's an album cover that I have always adored the aesthetic of - Logic's "The Incredible True Story" and have always wanted to be able to interact with the scene. I thought I might be able to make a game out of the control panels. in the ship, and have corresponding visuals in the center part that the user can interact with.

Idea 3: In my Mind

I've spoken about craving to try to make a project that feels a little more personal and less straightforward, and this is what came to mind for me. I wanted to visualize the experience of remembering memories and having sounds related to them. I also want to try to show my experience of blocking out traumatic memories and working throught the trauma by revisiting those times. In the long hallway, there are pictures from my life representing core moments in my life - good and bad. There is a soundscape associated with each of them. Eventually I want to work to add in some more physical interaction with each of them, maybe creating built-in sequencers within them or something. I haven't gotten it to work yet, but I want memories that the user walks past without interacting with to dissappear behind them, as if they're forgotten. I decided to commit to this idea for now and see where I can take it!

"In my mind" is a diary of sorts, created as a personal project in hopes of reviving some memories of key places, people, and events in my life.
