3D Printing for Acoustics
CCRMA Summer Workshop Main Page
In collaboration with the Product Realization Lab (PRL), CCRMA presents a 3D printing workshop where participants will join a group of noisemakers who print their own mini-instruments. The week will consist of rapid prototyping, computer assisted drawing/sculpting, and tutorials in fused deposition modeling. We will design and print geometries known to produce sound: Ocarinas, borrindos, mini- daxophones, nose- flutes, whistles, pipes etc. Sessions will take place at CCRMA and the PRL, concluding with a little concert in the shop.
Please note: there is a $40 lab fee included in the tuition.
