Its first stable version, 1.0, was recently released, including modular polyphony, a multi-threaded DSP engine, MIDI input/output, MIDI parameter mapping, and several other frequently-requested features. Rack's license allows open-source, freeware, and commercial plugins to be built using Rack's SDK, and its community has grown in the last two years to over 100,000 users and around 150 plugin developers, with over 1,200 modules currently available. <p>Rack is written in C++ and processes modules with 1-sample buffers to allow low-latency feedback in patches.</p><div class="field field-type-text field-field-event-cost"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> FREE </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-intended-audience"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Open to the Public </div> </div> </div> <p><a href="https://ccrma.stanford.edu/events/vcv-rack-open-source-virtual-modular-synthesis-and-introduction-module-development-in-c" target="_blank">read more</a></p> Thu, 27 Jun 2019 00:01:56 +0000 jos 4899 at https://ccrma.stanford.edu Margaret Lancaster, Greg Niemeyer, and Chris Chafe: A Day in the Sun https://ccrma.stanford.edu/events/margaret-lancaster-greg-niemeyer-and-chris-chafe-day-in-sun <div class="field field-type-date field-field-event-date"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Date:&nbsp;</div> <span class="date-display-start">Mon, 06/10/2019 - 2:00pm</span><span class="date-display-separator"> - </span><span class="date-display-end">Fri, 07/26/2019 - 5:00pm</span> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-event-type"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="field-label-inline-first"> Event Type:&nbsp;</div> Other </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="200" height="113" alt="" src="https://ccrma.stanford.edu/sites/default/files/user/cobasica/a_day_in_the_sun.jpg?1560200811" /> </div> </div> </div> CCRMA WAVE (Wall for AudioVisual Expression) presents&nbsp;<strong><em>A Day in the Sun</em></strong>&nbsp;by&nbsp;<strong>Margaret Lancaster, Greg Niemeyer, and Chris Chafe</strong>. <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The exhibition will run between Jun 10 - July 26 in the CCRMA Lobby.
