5 Examples of Similar Projects:

- High-Five Glove: http://www.instructables.com/id/The-High-Five-Glove/?ALLSTEPS - Drumming MIDI Glove: http://www.instructables.com/id/SNF-Drumming-MIDI-Glove-using-Arduino-and-light-se/ - Power Glove: https://vimeo.com/75281857 - "Sound-Glove": https://vimeo.com/12196753 - Glove MIDI Controller: https://courses.cit.cornell.edu/ee476/FinalProjects/s2010/ecg35_ajd53_jps93/ecg35_ajd53_jps93/index.html

To Do Lists:

1. Minimal Viable Product: - Create Max patch that records samples when piezo mic gain exceeds a threshold in one mode (sample mode), and plays the samples back when the mic gain exceeds the threshold in the other mode (play mode) - Route piezo mics to breadboard and breadboard to Arduino - Write Arduino code that communicates info from piezo mics to Max patch seamlessly and without noticeable latency

2. By Final Deadline: - Complete three steps listed above, then create iPad interface for controlling parameters of Max patch wirelessly via Mira software

3. Unlimited Time: - Somehow make the gloves standalone devices.... Figure out how to load the Max code onto a mini-computer that will fit inside the gloves. Add miniature built-in speakers if not already included.

Materials Needed:

- 10-20 small piezo microphones - Wires/cables - 2 miniature loudspeakers - Gloves (preferably tight, breathable leather ones) - Small pieces of tactile sample material (metal pads for fingers?) - iPad - Mira (software download) - Breadboard (OWN) - Arduino (OWN) - Probably more sensors & buttons, but not sure exactly what kind yet
