Included here is a report on violin making in China done by Thomas Yuen, a student at the Chinese

University in Hong Kong, who did the musical research along with Dr S.Y. Feng, Lecturer in Physics

and Low Shiu Chong, physics student , who did the acoustical parts. This is a very full and well

documented history of violin making in China, comparisons with violin making in Europe, methods

employed by the various violin making factories, with many photos of actual work procedures, charts,

and a well researched bibliography.
