ON Structure presents: "...with Red and Blue" - CCRMA Colloquium

Date:
Wed, 05/04/2011 - 5:15pm - 6:45pm
Location:
CCRMA Stage
Event Type:
Colloquium

An hour long adventure featuring new works by ON Structure.

Travel alongside two robotically spontaneous characters while they discover (and occasionally demolish) language, identity, and sophisticated technologies. Red and Blue create musical games and ocular spectacles using lasers, wigs, computers, analog electronics and darkness while sculpting synchronized visual and audio episodes. When piled together, these events push to question the role and importance of duality on both our everyday and visceral lives.

ON Structure is a sound-centric performance duo featuring Jessie Marino and Natacha Diels. The New York based ensemble uses improvised and composed, electronic and acoustic sounds (and the fluctuation of these sounds) to brew transferable art pieces which alter the realms of the performer, audience or space itself.
