sfSound concert - new music with electronics

Drawing on an extraordinary roster of Bay Area musicians, sfSoundGroup is the main performing group of the sfSoundSeries. The virtuoso sfSound instrumentalists are all composers in their own right -- offering a diverse range of talents including skilled improvisation, performance art, computer audio programming, university-level music scholarship, instrument making, didjeridu playing, and styrofoam bowing.
 
sfSoundGroup comes to CCRMA to present an evening of new and historical pieces for acoustic instruments with electronics. Here's the program for this evening:

James Tenney - Ergodos II (For John Cage) (1978) computer generated tape with instrumental responses
Phil Niblock - Disseminate (1998) pre-recorded and live instruments
Mario Davidovsky - Synchronisms #3 (1965) cello and tape
Per Bloland - Quintet (2005) sax and live electronics
Kyle Bruckmann - Cell Structure (2009) oboe, clarinet, and recorded analog electronics
Matt Ingalls - False Awakening (2008) amplified instruments and electronics
