This talk will provide an overview of recent research conducted in the Computational Acoustic Modeling Laboratory (CAML) of the Music Technology Area, Schulich School of Music, McGill University.  Particular topics discussed will include recent studies regarding the perceptual evaluation of violin quality, Finite Element modeling of wind instruments, aeroacoustic modeling using the Lattice-Boltmann method, and ongoing analysis of vocal-tract influence in wind instrument performance.
