This year’s Music and the Brain Symposium focusses on music’s role in stimulating transcendent experiences.  What are the neural correlates of ‘transcendence’?  What role does culture play? 

We have gathered an extraordinarily diverse group of researchers, scholars and artists to explore these topics.
