Concert Emily Graber is a researcher and musician and current Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at IRCAM in Paris. Her project, EAR Stretch, focuses on music embodiment and interactive listener experiences using MIDI controllers with Disklavier. Emily previously studied violin performance and physics at the University of Michigan, then received her PhD at Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics.
Julie Zhu is a DMA candidate in music composition at Stanford University. Her compositional work may be described as intermedia frames, with an emphasis on performance and serendipity. Julie previously studied mathematics and visual art at Yale University, carillon performance at the Royal Carillon School ‘Jef Denyn’ in Belgium, combined media at Hunter College, and computer music through the Cursus at IRCAM.
