Mark R. P. Thomas received the M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree from Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 2006 and 2010, respectively. From 2011 to 2015 he was an Associate Researcher at Microsoft Research, USA, where provided technologies in audio capture and rendering for products including HoloLens, Surface Pro 4, and Kinect for Xbox One. He is currently a Researcher at Dolby Laboratories, USA, where he researches audio and acoustics for cinema and terrestrial broadcast. His research interests include glottal-synchronous speech processing, multichannel acoustic signal processing, robust optimal beamforming, acoustic channel equalization, acoustic echo cancelation, and Fourier acoustics.
