APPLICATION DEADLINE:

July 18th, 2022.
Applicants will receive a response by August 1st or earlier. CLICK HERE TO APPLY.

GOAL:
Previously known as "Women in Computer Music Scholarship", this scholarship has been expanded since 2018 to promote the engagement of students from underrepresented backgrounds in the field of electronic and computer music, including gender, ethnicity, age, disability, or financial ability.

HOW IT WORKS:
Selected applicants will be invited to attend the SuperCollider Summer Workshop at CCRMA with full tuition scholarship. A certificate will be given to each participant upon successful completion of the workshop.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The SuperCollider workshop is a fun, fast-paced course dedicated to the creation of electronic music through the powerful SuperCollider  language. The course is interdisciplinary by nature, combining aspects of music composition and performance with sound synthesis, programming, and computer science. Class size is usually around 15, which allows for a very friendly and focused learning environment tailored to each student's individual needs. No previous knowledge of programming is necessary.

ABOUT CCRMA:
The Stanford Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA, pronounced  'karma') is an internationally renowned multi-disciplinary facility where composers and researchers work together using computer-based technology both as an artistic medium and as a research tool.
