Welcome to Music 257: Neuroplasticity and Musical Gaming!

Welcome to Music 257: Neuroplasticity and Musical Gaming! We are looking forward to an exciting quarter exploring auditory sensory perception and the auditory pathway, neurology fundamentals including neuroplasticity, and how informed game design can literally shape the mind of the player! Course materials will be available through this website. We will also be using Canvas for assignment submission and distribution of additional materials. Class meetings occur on Fridays from 9:45-11:45 PDT and on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:50 PM PDT. Each class will be a mixture of Lecture and Lab, so it is important to attend each class. If you have any questions about the course, feel free to email Lloyd or Poppy.

All meetings, including both lectures and labs, will take place in the CCRMA classroom (Knoll 217). If there are unique circumstances that restrict your ability to attend in-person, please let Lloyd know and you will be able to join via Zoom.

We will be using Discord as a forum for questions and discussion throughout the course. Please see Canvas for the Discord link.
