strictly Ballroom

strictly Ballroom is a concert series presenting contemporary chamber music and performing arts. The series features an array of guest artists from around the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world, presenting instrumental improvisations, music with real-time electronics, works on video and film, multichannel tape music, avant-garde classics, and premieres of new compositions.

strictly Ballroom was created by Christopher Burns and Christopher Jones. Performances are held in the Ballroom, at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA), Stanford University. All performances are free and open to the public.

Please note that for the year 2004-2005, as the Knoll is undergoing renovations the concerts will be held at different spaces on campus.

To receive quarterly email announcements of our programs, please use the online subscription form or send an email to : events@ccrma.stanford.edu. The Stanford University Music Department lists additional performances at Stanford University on its concert calendar; for new music events around the Bay Area please see transbaycalendar.org.
